This is a screenshot of both versions running side by side in Ubuntu Mate 16. 3) KeePassX is simple, but KeePass 2 installs a bunch of Mono libraries. KeePass is maintained in AUR by me (and its 2.18). There are no KeePass in community, theres KeePassX 0.4.3. This should work at least for Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) to 17.10 (Artful). 2) I have installed KeePass 2.16 on Arch from the community repository, but the current version is 2.18. (You may need to edit the old keepassx launcher to point to /usr/bin/keepassx to run version 2). for importing KeePassX 0.4.1 XML files - Added support for importing Handy Safe. Now, you can create a new launcher icon to /usr/local/bin/keepassx to run the 0.4 version. KeePass now first tests whether this key combination is a registered. This will put the binary executable in /usr/local/bin/keepassx.
